VIA collaborated with several school children at the 2019 Start! event held at the Jiangcui Junior High School in New Taipei City. Sixty-seven teams from schools throughout the island of Taiwan came together to put their driverless vehicles through their paces and compete with each other in various autonomous driving tasks.
The VIA AI Learning Kit combines hardware and software, enabling students to learn how to build and program a self-driving car. A user-friendly software program enables students to program commands to activate the car, set its speed limits, and define the appropriate actions when the camera detects a stop sign, warning sign, traffic lights, or a turn.
